Our Story
Going Green Renewables was formed in March 2011 when the solar industry in the UK was in its infancy. During that time, we have seen the industry change from a finance model encouraging people to become early adopters to where we are now – supplying energy at below-grid prices with increased grid independence.
Having navigated the stormy waters of changing government legislation, we have bloomed into an established company with a breadth of knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector.
Today, we focus on providing bespoke solutions and advice to our customers. Working with many trusted manufacturers, we design tailor-made systems that seamlessly integrate with both the property and the people living there.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme was established to ensure quality and control of both products and the installation of renewable technology. The company is assessed annually to ensure it operates in line with the guidelines and standards.
Part of the assessment is to ensure that all insurances are up to date and quality management procedures are followed. All installers must be MCS accredited in order for consumers to gain access to The smart export guarantee and payments for exported energy.
The Renewable Energy Consumer Code
The Renewable Energy Consumer Code is in place to make certain we follow correct sales practices and quote accurate figures to consumers. The Code is in place to protect the consumer and is a prerequisite to MCS membership. Click here for their Website
National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers
The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers runs an electrical competent person scheme to ensure that all work is carried out safely and is signed off by the local authority. Going Green Renewables is inspected annually to maintain membership.

Jay is our highly skilled founder and managing director. But the hard work doesn’t stop there. He’s an electrician by trade and highly experienced in the technical aspects of solar installations, playing a hands-on role in all of our solar projects.
